ABOUT US

Founded in 2012, our team is composed of mechanical engineers, naval architects and external collaborators in different disciplines bringing a unique point of view to the table.

We have a diversified experience and have served as project manager on several civil, maritime and offshore projects worldwide. Our experience as approval engineers within one of the world’s leading classification society (DNV)  give us a strong survey background which enhances our comprehension of all engineering projects together with a good understanding of standards and rules.

We believe that there is no limit to what a team can do when working in a true partnership. Supplying clients with creative solutions based on a collaborative process assures a result that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Ramiro Pena

Passionate about engineering and founder of CESAC. His passion has driven his success on his role as engineer during more than 20 years of experience.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vigo University.

He began working in the renewable sector developing and designing componentes for  wind industry.

After some years of experience in Spain, he moves to Norway, where he develops his carrier as structural engineer, performing structural calculations in AKER- Kvaerner (Fjellstrand). Also being part of international organization in world’s leading classification society (DNV),   developing the role of offshore engineer, approving and inspecting componentes for offshore indystry.  

Soledad Somoza

Soledad Somoza has been involved in the design, assessment and verification of maritime and offshore structures for over 15 years.

She has started her career being part of Navantia,  an Spanish state-owned shipbuilding company. Later on, she became responsible of composites workboats projects within Rodman organization. 

After moving to Norway, she has focus her carrier as structural engineer within the maritime and offshore industry within DNV and Fjellstrand shipyard.

Her work over the past  can be summarized as covering the following subjects:

– Structural design and analysis of aluminium and composite high speed boats and workboats.

– Rule scantling and direct calculations of different vessel types complaining with BV, DNV, ABS and LLOYDS regulations in order to define primary geometry and structural elements.

– Verification and performing of local detail calculations including fatigue assestment for offshore ship-shaped (FPSO-drillship, FSO, etc) and semi-submersible and jackets.
