NAVAL

Cesac´s experienced structural engineers offer the lastest in structural engineering services for maritime industry.

Supporting shipyards , shipowners and other maritime equipment suppliers by performing structural strength assestment for different vessels made in steel, aluminium, composite or HDPE.

From basic design to local analysis in different vessels and materials during new building construction and also conversations.

Preliminary Design Phase

Basic design is the phase of engineering project when main product functions are defined. Working in close cooperation with naval architect and designers, we provide services at early stages with the aim to estimate material and weight, initial deflection and many other design aspects, based on rule scantling and international codes.

a) Analytical Studies in accordance to class rules. Longitudinal strength and scantling plans. Drawings, including midship section, and scantling arrangement identifying the locations of primary structure such as deep girders and bulkheads.

Gap analysis between comparative IACS member societies can be a long-term reduction in cost and give to shipowners a proper estimation between rules.

b) Direct Calculations.  The structural engineering team utilizes industry-leading tools like Finite Element Modeling and Postprocessing for developing direct structural analaysis. Global stresses and estimate of displacement are obtained by performing direct calculations, beam or fea model, in order to define hull primary structures.

DETAIL ENGINEERING

Detailed engineering is the phase of the project when future vessel is built virtually in 3D so manufacturing information related to supporting structure for main equipment is required to produce the final product.

Drawings of all structural members and details, including, foundations and joint designs. Lifting of equipment as well and lifting components study and design are part of our expertise. Structural direct analysis and spectral fatigue analysis using full ship finite element models.
